Post 1 - Introduction to Skills

My skills consist of being able to work within both a team and independently.I also can use photoshop to a good standard and am gaining skill in the way of indesign which my lack is in the way of adding text into articles.I also have skills within photography after taking a course in which i came 3rd in a competition.I can say i have good skills within analysis of  film and tv after gaining a B in the A/S exam.Lastly i have skills in meeting deadlines and helping others to meet deadlines.

However, i have not got much skill when it comes to using final cut as i have only used it once but i will hopefully get better over more use.I also struggle with camera use as i have never really used a camera.Lastly i have no skills in Garage band but look forward to using it.Within my first year i worked with Photoshop and In-design at the start of the year i found it hard to work however over the year i learnt how to make a better quality print product in which i also learnt how to identify the genre of the magazine via colour scheme,image,costume,props and language.This meant it was easier to learn which elements helped to create the genre within film magazines when advertising the genre Thriller.Then i built on my photograhy skills in my first year when taking images with the SLR camera's and the lighting and back grounds meaning i had learnt more on positioning and lighting within the shots.I also gained slight practice towards the end of the year with filming which i found quite hard,In the way of research i have used a mixture.i have looked at music magazines to give ideas and internet searches for things such as the marketing within movies and magazines or music.I have also watched trailers in which to give me ideas on cinematography,mise en scene , editing an sound used within my genre.I also did research by getting feeback off others on magazines in the same genre giving me information in the most important parts when doing a magazine.I
